It is difficult to find the place where experts, graduates of our college wouldn’t work at the map of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The country highly appreciates their work.
For years of existence of college over 65 thousand experts, technicians on the railroad are produced. Our graduates are most demanded in labor market, they successfully work on different sites of railway transport.
Revival of economy, development of the industry is possible only in the presence of sound transport communications – for this reason they are called “life arteries”. However ensuring activity by the message requires powerful infrastructure in which numerous experts are engaged.
The history of formation of college begins since far 30th years. It passed in difficult conditions. The young technical school has appeared before need of the solution of a set of problems. The first classes for pupils were given in the building of shoe factory.
And only by February, 1932 construction of the new educational case has ended. By this time 7 offices have been equipped, other area was used under educational audiences. Educational workshops which had at the beginning of 4 shops are constructed and organized: joiner’s, mechanical, metalwork and forge. It, naturally, there was a little.
Two figures characterized then our institution: 150 and 19. The first meant the number of pupils, the second – teachers. The young educational institution gradually gained strength. Offices “Construction of the railroads, a way and traveling facilities”, “Maintenance and repair of traction mobile economy” are the first offices which let out the experts for the railroad whom our young state needed.
Whether it is necessary to say about how greedy strove for knowledge of uchashchiyesyaty time. There wasn’t enough much: grants, textbooks, but there was a great enthusiasm, thirst of knowledge, the aspiration and desire to be as much as possible useful to the country! Thanks to the help of teachers, teachers – practicians, production workers the technical equipment grew every year, educational process was improved. Lectures, a practical training became the main forms of study. Have entered a work practice for pupils of technical school. Financing has increased by acquisition new and repair of the old equipment. Educational laboratories are created.
All this work achieved of the speed and would achieve still the best results if not war. Peaceful work of pupils and teachers of technical school, as well as all people, has been interrupted with war!
The Great Patriotic War became severe test for all people of the Soviet Union. Bright manifestation of patriotism of the people were mass statements of workers for the voluntary introduction in ranks of the Red Army. On the front every fifth Kazakhstan citizen has left. Our teachers and pupils of technical school haven’t stood aside.
Heroically teachers, graduates battled against the enemy. This is Borovkov V.I., Emilyanov P.G., Mugenov G. G., Antonov N.B., Fedosov D.Ya., Kaplenkin A.F., Petelin A.M., Kotylevsky Ya.A., Safronova A.I., Morozov P.A., Andreyev A.A., Dmitrovsky V.I., Mansurov R.Sh. and many others.
Not all veterans have returned, but the light memory of them lives. Some teachers – veterans have got to work and slaved away in technical school.
Life in technical school proceeded. Study, work which main slogan was “All for the front, all for a victory was continued!”. After hours pupils repaired cars, engines, cars and made details to anti-tank grenades. Pupils and teachers have undertaken to study not less than one of military specialties as submachine gunners, sappers, machine gunners, mortars, technicians on restoration of the railroads. During war in connection with the shortage of specialists of locomotive economy the reduced 2-year courses of technicians – mechanics of locomotive economy worked.
War was heartrending experience, but the staff of technical school has sustained it with honor. Post-war life has gradually got better, and pupils have started occupations.
There was a formation of pupils of young technical school. It had the features and difficulties. Also daily work has begun. Study needs to be considered the main work at all times. The country needed qualified personnel in railway transport.
The country already “became” on peace rails. The material resources of technical school extended.
Creation in 1945 on the basis of an institution of methodical merging of average educational institutions of the city of Almaty where 15 educational institutions have entered became an important event in the history of technical school.
Every year the structure of methodical association extended, he has included representatives of public organizations.
In 1947 the three-year school of drivers has begun to function. From the end of war the contingent of pupils was stabilized. Post-war years are spent repair and offices of general education disciplines, technologies of metals, OKZhD, PTE, technology of fuel, water and lubricant of carriage economy, eletrotekhnik, etc. are again created.
By 1955 19 offices including educational laboratories have been created.
In 1956 the correspondence department with in-service education has been open.
The history of college is connected with numerous nice pages and memorials in strengthening of material resources, improvement of educational and methodical providing, increase in professionalism of pedagogical collective.

For many years the existence our educational institution changed names, passed from submission from one department to another, invariable was one – preparation and release of highly qualified specialists for railway transport.
